Northstar x Vladimir Nabokov

Northstar x Vladimir Nabokov

There is a famous image in Vladimir Nabokov’s work: a bird lost to a false azure, a reflection of the sky in a window pane that looked real, but wasn't. The bird strikes the glass because it mistakes the surface for the horizon.

In education, we often make the same mistake. We look at grades, test scores, and outward behavior and think we are seeing the child. But that is just the reflection. At Northstar, we’ve learned to look past the glass.

We believe learning shouldn't be a reflection of someone else's sky, a curriculum imposed from the outside but the freedom for a child to fly through on their own. We have intentionally built a space where we look deeper than the surface, past the false azures of traditional schooling, to find the real potential hidden beneath.

Join us as we find the horizon together.
