Alice's Adventures in Wonderland at Phantasmagoria

Curiosity takes over as The Northstar School presents Alice's Adventures in Wonderland at Phantasmagoria.

Down the rabbit hole lies a world of impossible tea parties, talking creatures, and volatile royals where nothing is quite as it seems. But what happens when Wonderland's whimsical magic overflows past its borders, crashing the Mad Hatter's tea party right through Northstar’s library doors? Pure phantasmagoric fun takes over.

Our learners of grades 7 & 8 are stepping into the limelight to share a literary classic reimagined mixing classic British nonsense, imaginative wonder, and a dash of theatrical magic.

A Literary Journey

Penned in 1865 by Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the pen name Lewis Carroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland remains a pinnacle of speculative children's fiction. Carroll’s playful logic, iconic riddles, and vibrant characters redefined storytelling for young readers across generations, inspiring minds to question boundaries and dream without limits.

At Northstar, staging this masterpiece allows our learners to engage deeply with literary heritage while discovering the power of curiosity, identity, and creative problem-solving.

The Phantasmagoria Twist

While audiences might expect the familiar antics of the March Hare, and the Red Queen, our production introduces a delightful narrative disruption. As Alice navigates the dreamscape, the boundaries of her book tear open. Wandering into Northstar's library, the Wonderland troupe crosses paths with unexpected travelers from afar including Rehmat the Kabuliwala himself. Watch as Victorian fantasy seamlessly merges with classic Indian storytelling on our stage.

Celebrating Our Northstarians

Taking on a production of this depth is a massive leap for our learners. From mastering eccentric character postures to discovering how independent literary worlds can cross over, our young performers have poured boundless enthusiasm and focus into every single rehearsal.
